Day After Christmas store hours

So what are YOU doing reading this? My excuse for posting is that the only family I have are my kids and hubby - my brothers don't live near us, my in-laws live in Boston, my mother doesn't come over for Christmas - and right now the kids are cleaning their mess. Six kids with presents from Santa, grandparents and us = BIG MESS. Hubby is getting ready to make Christmas dinner (he's technically a professional chef having graduated from Johnson and Wales Culinary but now works for the government as a computer tech) - I don't cook (on orders from the fire department, lol).

So tomorrow is the big Day After Christmas Sales where everything you bought full price yesterday goes on sale at 50% tomorrow. Sucks doesn't it? Yup, we bought a ton of stuff at Target yesterday that will go from either full price or 30% off to 50% off then within two weeks it'll be at 90% off. I use to work at the Kennewick Target, years ago, but don't recall their price adjustment policy on clearance items.

At any rate store houses for stores tomorrow are:
  • Target: 7 AM - 11 PM
  • ShopKo: 7 AM - 10 PM
  • Walmart: reopens at 6 AM?
  • Walgreens: 8 AM - 10 PM (Clearwater store goes back to being 24 hrs)
  • RiteAid: 8 AM - 10 PM (395 store goes back to being 24 hrs)
  • Albertsons: reopens at 6 AM - 24 hrs
  • Safeway: 5 AM - midnight
  • Yoke's: 5 AM - midnight
  • Fred Meyer: 6 AM - 11 PM
  • WinCo: reopens at 6 AM?
  • Save A Lot: 8 AM - 9 PM
  • Red Apple: 7 AM - 11 PM
  • Fiesta Foods: no idea

Where to get coupons

BEST PLACE: The Sunday newspaper!

In stores:

Blinkies – Found on various store aisles these little machines spit out coupons as you pull them out. Most blinkies have little lights that blink hence the name.

Catalinas – Receipt-like coupons printed at the register. Not all stores have Catalinas (such as WinCo). These are typically NOT printed on the back of the register receipt.

Hang/Wine Tags – Found around the neck of a bottle with a little piece of string or rubber band.

Peelies – Coupons found on certain products that peel away from the product.

Tearpads – Coupons on a tear away pad. Typically found in a display and not directly on the product.

Other ways:

Home mailers - sign up for products online or even contact a company to either complain or complement their products. Click here for a blog with over 200 links to companies that will mail you coupons!

Internet coupons - There are many places online that you can print coupons from. See links below for printable online coupons.

Magazines – Pretty much all magazines will have coupons in it. Better Homes & Gardens, Sunset, Parenting, Working Mother are a few. The BEST magazine with coupons is All You magazine.
