Grocery store deals for January 20 to 26

Ok, seriously not impressed with this weekly grocery deals around town. Some good stuff but most stuff seem to be pretty high for a "sale". So this week I'm just going to do this as an "all-in-one" post for Fiesta Foods, Save-A-Lot and Yoke's instead of my usually different posts for different stores. Seriously... not impressed this week. What's listed is basically what I'd go out and buy if I were to go grocery shopping. Keep in mind that your BEST place to shop this week maybe at Yoke's because they will match other grocery store prices, take other grocery store coupons (including doublers) plus stack store coupons with manufacturer coupons.

Fiesta Foods
  • Imperial margarine - 1¢ (limit 1)
  • Hamburger Helper, twin pack, 11.2 to 12.8 oz - $1.28 each
  • 10 lb leg quarters, frozen bag - $6.80 each
  • Papaya - 69¢ lb
  • Bolthouse Farms Baby-cut carrots, 1 lb bag - 99¢ each
Save-A-Lot (Prices effective until Feb 2 @ SAL)
  • Totino's Party Pizzas - $1 each (limit 12)
  • Bananas - 3 lbs for $1 (limit 6 lbs)
  • Gallon milk - $1.79 each
  • Fuji apples - 2 lbs for $1 (limit 4 lbs)
  • Banquet Brown 'n Serve links (80-ct) $5 (while supplies last)
  • Russet potatoes, 15 lb bag - $1.49 each
  • Fresh head lettuce - 49¢ each
  • Assorted pork chops - $1.69 lb
  • WA grown red potatoes, 15 lb bag - $1.98 each
  • Campbell's Soup, tomato or chicken noodle, select 10.75 oz - 59¢ each
  • Pasta or Rice A Roni, select 3.8 to 7.2 oz - $1 each (10 for $10)
NOTE: If you do decide to price match at Yoke's you WILL need to have the current flier intact for them to honor their price-match guarantee.

Where to get coupons

BEST PLACE: The Sunday newspaper!

In stores:

Blinkies – Found on various store aisles these little machines spit out coupons as you pull them out. Most blinkies have little lights that blink hence the name.

Catalinas – Receipt-like coupons printed at the register. Not all stores have Catalinas (such as WinCo). These are typically NOT printed on the back of the register receipt.

Hang/Wine Tags – Found around the neck of a bottle with a little piece of string or rubber band.

Peelies – Coupons found on certain products that peel away from the product.

Tearpads – Coupons on a tear away pad. Typically found in a display and not directly on the product.

Other ways:

Home mailers - sign up for products online or even contact a company to either complain or complement their products. Click here for a blog with over 200 links to companies that will mail you coupons!

Internet coupons - There are many places online that you can print coupons from. See links below for printable online coupons.

Magazines – Pretty much all magazines will have coupons in it. Better Homes & Gardens, Sunset, Parenting, Working Mother are a few. The BEST magazine with coupons is All You magazine.
