Target purchases that come with gift cards

I'm going to do my Target deals a bit differently this week. I'm going to list all their sales that come with gift card then tell you if I think its a good deal or not.
  • $20 gift card with purchase of the Bissell ProHeat 2X - $199 (Deal: Costco sales theirs at $219.99)
  • $10 gift card with any $44.99 or higher H&R Block Tax software (Not a deal: You can do you tax return for free online at their site)
  • $20 gift card with purchase of certain Graco car seats: Highback booster car seat ($44.99) (Deal: Walmart sells theirs for $58.96 - $13.97 difference, plus factor in the gift card and it's like paying only $24.99); ComfortSport convertible car seat ($79.99) (Deal: Walmart sells theirs for $79.97, factor in the $20 gift card and it's like paying only $59.99 at Target); Nautilus booster car seat ($154.99)  (Deal: But not by much. The Nautilus car seat sells for $144.00 at Walmart and if you factor in the gift card you'll be saving only $9 at Target)
  • $5 gift card with Bender Ball - $19.99 (Deal: Bed, Bath & Beyond sells it at $19.99 but at Target you get a gift card. Even if you used a 20% off coupon @ BBB it'd still be $15.99)
  • $5 gift card with Shake Weight - $19.99 (Not sure: I couldn't find any other retailer online)
  • $5 gift card with Perfect Pushup basic kit - $19.99 (Not sure)
  • $10 gift card with Billy's BootCamp - $29.99 (Deal: Walmart sells the individual DVDs for $11-$14 but you have to pay for shipping unless you have Prime each; you can also get it at Amazon.com for $24.29)
  • $10 gift card with Iron Gym - $29.99 (Deal: BBB sells it for $29.99 as well but with the gift card from Target it's like paying only $19.99; Walmart sells it for $39!)
  • $10 gift card with Kettlenetics kit or Perfect Pushup original - $29.99 (Deal: Sells for $39.77 at Walmart and $30.49 at Amazon; the Perfect Pushup original sells at Walmart for $29.95)
  • $5 gift card with purchase of any two products below:
    • 40-lb Iams large breed dog food and selected others - $34.49
    • 150-oz Cheer liquid - $14.99
    • Swiffer WetJet starter kit - $18.99
    • Bounty Basic, 12-pk - $10.99
    • Puffs, 8-pk, 60-ct cube or 6-pk 132-ct soft & strong facial tissue - $8.99
    • Luvs big pack diapers - $16.99
(Not a deal: You must buy two of each item, in any combination, to get the $5 gift card. Yes there are coupons for most of this stuff like the Swiffer WetJet but it really doesn't seem like a good deal for me for just a $5 gift card.

Where to get coupons

BEST PLACE: The Sunday newspaper!

In stores:

Blinkies – Found on various store aisles these little machines spit out coupons as you pull them out. Most blinkies have little lights that blink hence the name.

Catalinas – Receipt-like coupons printed at the register. Not all stores have Catalinas (such as WinCo). These are typically NOT printed on the back of the register receipt.

Hang/Wine Tags – Found around the neck of a bottle with a little piece of string or rubber band.

Peelies – Coupons found on certain products that peel away from the product.

Tearpads – Coupons on a tear away pad. Typically found in a display and not directly on the product.

Other ways:

Home mailers - sign up for products online or even contact a company to either complain or complement their products. Click here for a blog with over 200 links to companies that will mail you coupons!

Internet coupons - There are many places online that you can print coupons from. See links below for printable online coupons.

Magazines – Pretty much all magazines will have coupons in it. Better Homes & Gardens, Sunset, Parenting, Working Mother are a few. The BEST magazine with coupons is All You magazine.
