Target savings

I went to Target again today and spent less than $19 and saved nearly $30! Here's what I spent and how it broke down to:
  • Stacy's Pita chips $3.00
  • Pepsi $3.00
  • Diet Pepsi $3.00
  • Mountain Dew $3.00
  • 60W Reveal light bulb $2.99
  • Scrubbing Bubbles $2.99
  • Scrubbing Bubbles $2.99
  • Tostitos $2.50
  • Tostitos $2.50
  • Tostitos Salsa $2.50
  • Tostitos $2.50
  • Tostitos $2.50
  • Tostitos Salsa $2.50
I love sales, store coupons and manufacturer coupons!
  • Deal 1 (Freebie #1): $2.50 (chips) + $2.50 (chips) + $2.50 (salsa)= $7.50 - $2.50 (free salsa deal) - $1.00 (store coupon) - $1.00 (All You mfr coupon) = $3 for two bags of chips plus FREE salsa!
  • Deal 2 (Freebie #2): $2.50 (chips) + $2.50 (chips) + $2.50 (salsa)= $7.50 - $2.50 (free salsa deal) - $1.00 (store coupon) - $0.55 (mfr coupon) = $3.45 for two bags of chips plus FREE salsa!
  • Deal 3 (Freebie #3): $2.49 (GE Reveal light bulbs) - $1.50 (Target coupon) - $1 (mfr coupon) = 1 cent overage! FREE LIGHT BULBS!
  • Deal 4: $2.99 (Scrubbing Bubbles) x 2 = $5.98 - $1.50 (Target coupon) - $2 (mfr coupon) = $2.48 for two cans of Scrubbing Bubbles ($1.25 PER can)!
  • Deal 5 (Freebie #4): $3 (Stacy's Pita chips) - $3 (FREE coupon from Stacy's) = FREE CHIPS!
  • Deal 6: $3 x 3 = $9 (Pepsi products)
Total after coupons and store savings: $17.92! I saved between store sale prices, store coupons and manufacturer coupons nearly $29 (actual savings according to the receipt was $28.78)!

Remember, great thing about Target is that they do stack their store coupon with a manufacturer coupon! You can print their coupons by heading to their website.

Where to get coupons

BEST PLACE: The Sunday newspaper!

In stores:

Blinkies – Found on various store aisles these little machines spit out coupons as you pull them out. Most blinkies have little lights that blink hence the name.

Catalinas – Receipt-like coupons printed at the register. Not all stores have Catalinas (such as WinCo). These are typically NOT printed on the back of the register receipt.

Hang/Wine Tags – Found around the neck of a bottle with a little piece of string or rubber band.

Peelies – Coupons found on certain products that peel away from the product.

Tearpads – Coupons on a tear away pad. Typically found in a display and not directly on the product.

Other ways:

Home mailers - sign up for products online or even contact a company to either complain or complement their products. Click here for a blog with over 200 links to companies that will mail you coupons!

Internet coupons - There are many places online that you can print coupons from. See links below for printable online coupons.

Magazines – Pretty much all magazines will have coupons in it. Better Homes & Gardens, Sunset, Parenting, Working Mother are a few. The BEST magazine with coupons is All You magazine.
